The first floor of the Harriman campus library will reopen on Tuesday, July 12.
The ceiling work is nearly completed in the main public areas. A few areas for ceiling replacement in the back hallway and restrooms remain. Once the ceiling work is finished, there is much to be done to get cleaned and organized for use.
The 1st floor carpets will be cleaned and floors waxed before furniture can be moved back downstairs. Both 1st floor computer labs will be restored and computers returned to the 1st floor circulation desk. Shelving panels will be reinstalled and the magazine/journal collection straightened for use.
During this time, we are also relocating our 2nd floor Audio-visual collection to its new location.
In short, we are getting closer but aren't quite there yet. We appreciate everyone's patience and look forward to reopening on July 12 with a brighter, cleaner look.
